12 things I learned as a Christian this year

New year same God!

We make decisions & eventually our decisions make us.

One of the scariest places to be a year from now is the same place.

It's easy as a Christian to blame the devil, but what if it's our decisions?

What if the problem is not the person, what if it's the patterns they think?

New year but SAME patterns...

Here are 12 things I've learned:

#1 Your relationship with God keeps you humble, focused & on a better path.

#2 We're drowning with information but starving for wisdom.

#3 Time is either invested or stolen by your habits. You're either a time waster or time investor.

#4 It's not about making decisions, it's about making the right decisions. You can make wrong decisions that lead to a bad outcome.

#5 You can control outputs but you can't control outcomes.

#6 If a tasks takes less than 5 minutes & you're free, do it now.

#7 God's wisdom is greater than mine.

Wisdom is our ability to understand discernment, obedience, timing & application.

#8 Learn how to be lean in every area of your life.

#9 Protect your mind & renew it through God's word.

#10 Learn simplified technology with your day to day life.

#11 Business is war, adapt or die. Business is spiritual warfare.

#12 Communities will always be powerful in any industry, grow them. Share a message long enough, you'll eventually have people attracted to your thinking.

How to break ungodly patterns?

1. Recognize the pattern

2. Release it to God

3. Renew your mind through God's patterns

4. Regeneration

2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. (Romans 12:2)

Things you hear can 'sound good' but be neither sound nor good.

God speaks in patterns.

There are patterns in the bible with how God speaks & responds.

Study God's character & nature.

13 Hold fast the pattern of sound words which you have heard from me, in faith and love which are in Christ Jesus. (2 Timothy 1:13)

God speaks in patterns, so does the enemy & this world.

5 not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, 6 whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7 that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life. (Titus 3:5-7)

Regeneration is renovation.

When you renovate a home. You must allow demolition.

Renovation requires demolition

To tear out the old, & add brand new furniture.

A regeneration must be done on the inside of us, & that's the Holy Spirit's job!
